About Me

Hello! My name is Maeve. I'm a college freshman studying drama and history with a special love for classic movies. The first "old" movies I saw were from a box-set of Shirley Temple films when I was little, and I love musicals to this day! Some of my favorite classic films are

            The Gay Divorcee (1934)

            Swing Time (1936)

The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938)

            The Philadelphia Story (1940)

            Good News (1947)

            Monkey Business (1952)

            The Sound of Music (1965)

I could talk for hours about MGM musicals, the history of RKO Studios, Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, costume design, Busby Berkeley production numbers, Grace Kelly-Hitchcock films, and Cary Grant.

Thank you for visiting Filmland Follies!
