About Me

Hello! My name is Maeve. I'm a high-school student and lover of classic films. The first "old" movies I saw were from a box-set of Shirley Temple films when I was quite little, and I still count musicals as my favorite genre! Some of my favorite films are

            The Gay Divorcee (1934)

            Swing Time (1936)

The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938)

            The Philadelphia Story (1940)

            Good News (1947)

            Monkey Business (1952)

            The Sound of Music (1965)

I could talk for hours about MGM musicals, the history of RKO Studios, literally anything to do with Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, costume design, Busby Berkeley production numbers, Grace Kelly-Hitchcock films, and Cary Grant.

I sell Old Hollywood-related stickers at the Golden Age Girl on Etsy!

Thank you for visiting Filmland Follies! I hope you find something that interests you.
